Born and raised in Southern California, Los Angeles will always be home. The landscapes here — from ocean to mountains, from desert light to city shadow — continue to shape my way of seeing. California has always been my space of inspiration
My work is guided by curiosity — a constant companion since childhood. It draws me toward materials, textures, and forms that hold a sense of place. Each object I make is an observation turned tangible: a reflection of the environments that surround me, and the quiet rhythms within them.
As a kid, I spent hours beside my dad while he worked on cars. That’s where I first learned how to use tools — how to build, repair, and shape with my hands. Through every struggle that followed, working with my hands remained my refuge. No matter how uncertain life became, creating brought me peace — a way to fix what was broken and imagine what could be made.
After surviving a near-fatal shooting, I chose to devote my life to art and design. Making became more than a craft; it became a way to live fully. I find endless joy in the process — from sketching and prototyping to sculpting and casting — transforming imagination into form.
My passion for concrete began in art school, with a simple project that opened an entirely new path. I started pouring concrete into makeshift molds, learning through failure and persistence. Over time, I discovered the material’s patience, its strength, and its quiet beauty.
Mass Los Angeles was founded in 2023, when I moved into a studio in Frogtown, Los Angeles— nestled in a Quonset hut, along the LA River bike path. It’s here, surrounded by the city’s rhythm and natural edges, that I continue to explore the balance between matter and light, weight and stillness.
